We have too much fun.
Heh. Been a while.
I had a marvelous spring break. I went on a week-long voyage with my bestie to Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs.
Yeah. This kid.
We posed in front of teepees:
Number 15, yo.
We walked by scenic rivers.
There were waterslide bracelets (and injuries).
And sneak-attack pictures of Morgan reading.
There was a snowstorm on the last day. Which was surprising. And cold.
And although that was a jolly time, the most memorable part of my break was the OWL CITY/LIGHTS CONCERT!!
(Behold! Crappy cell-phone pictures!)
LIGHTS.
Owl City.
Owl City.
It was amazing, and awesome. And INTENSE.
Thanks everyone for sitting tight on this here bloggity. I have returned!

…is the question I’ve been hearing a lot lately.
I don’t want to say how mad this makes me. Fun Fact: According to
somemost of my school’s student body, reading is stupid.WHAT?!
Where did this start? Who showed up in a tricked-out band wagon that everyone decided to jump upon?
Leave me back in St. Louis on your Oregon Trail of lameness.
Let me get to my point.
I finished a book today called The Maze Runner by James Dashner. It is literally one of the best books I’ve ever read. And I know I say that about a lot of books, but this one takes the cake. We ain’t talking some store-bought, pre-packaged, preheat-the-oven-to-350 cake. I’m talking about the cakes you see at celebrity weddings huge. Yes. It’s that good.
I won’t spoil anything but here’s the basic idea to get you started:
There’s this boy named Thomas. He’s in a room. That’s all he knows. He has no memory of his life prior to him being in this room (well, he knows that George Washington was the first president, and that 2+2 is 4. You know…the basics). Turns out, it’s an elevator. The doors open, and he’s suddenly overcome by a Glade inhabited by teenage boys and surrounded by walls.
But every night, the walls move. There’s a (get this) maze behind them. The Gladers send an elite group of runners (gasp!) to search the maze while terrible, plot-altering things are happening. WILL they find out where they are? Who’s doing this to them? And why?
And that’s just the first few chapters.
So seriously, ignore my cheesy plot build ups and go check this book out. I really think you’ll enjoy it.

(P.S. If you have any control over next generation, please inform them that reading is not stupid. It’s the bomb.)
Be forewarned: this is a five minute video of me twisting a plastic cube.
I owe my new found ability to Dan Brown. He made and INCREDIBLY helpful tutorial on YouTube, and here I am solvin’ cubes.
Sorry for the annoying beeping sound. It’s the webcam.
