Gloves.

My day started off at 4:15 in the morning. Knowing that people actually get up that early on a regular basis almost makes me sick. So I got out of bed, slapped my alarm and thought ahead to what the day held for me:

A trip to Portland, Oregon. A day full of shopping, ice skating, temperatures that make polar bears put on mittens, and icy sidewalks.

Having to be at Miller at 5:20(yes, 5:20. *shudders*) was rather annoying, but I do have to say I was excited to get the ball rolling. After all, I was on assignment from Miss Swinhart to take pictures. The yearbook needed me to be bright and chipper!

Granted the second I sat down on one of the bus seats I fell asleep.

     *Three Hours Later*

So all 58 of us got off of the large, crowded, yellow, smelly, (insert adjective here) bus, and it is FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily, I had a coat. Sadly, Amy did not. Luckily, Morgan let me wear hers due to the fact she is never cold. Like…ever.

The street fair was really fun! I got some of Christmas shopping done, and IU got to look at some of the *hem-hem* lovely hand–crafted items for sale.

Then we hopped on the train and went to the Lloyd Center for more shopping and ice skating! I didn’t do hardly any shopping there because I was so enchanted by skating!! I started off like any n00b skater, clutching the rail for dear life, but by the end of the THREE hours I could skate pretty well (granted the few blisters and insane soreness to follow)!

Then the group got back on the bus, and we made it home to Miller around 9pm. All in all, I’d go back any day! …Just not at 4 in the morning.

Chart Jackers!!

Errr…should I be concerned?

Nope! Just watch this video:

Yes. Listen to Hank. He is wise.

Quite honestly, the song “I’ve Got Nothing” by Chart Jackers has been stuck in my head since I heard it. It’s probably the cheesiest pop song of the century, but it’s for a good cause, right?   http://tinyurl.com/CJBuySong

Have good day! (And brave this crummy weather :( )

Sick.

     I very much dislike sickness.

Yesterday, my school got the H1N1 nasal spray/vaccine. I do not think this is what caused me to be sick. I’ve been feeling crummy for a little while. It’s mainly just a sore throat and fever. But not to be a Debby Downer, I’ve come across a new hobby: editing pictures to look awesome.

     So that’s what’s happening. Toodle-oo!

The Power’s Out.

You know what’s lame? Sitting at home with no light except for the few candles that cover about a square foot in light. At least I have my laptop and Windows Writer though, right? Blogging can be just as fun with no lights. Pull up a new window, type about your life while Owl City’s latest hit plays in the background sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

According to the radio, the transformer line blew. The Grays Harbor PUD is working on getting it back by later tonight. But while I pass the time, I’ve got my iPod and a good old “An Abundance of Katherines” by John Green. On that note, John Green is my new favorite adolescent author. Well, he isn’t adolescent, but his works fits us nicely. In fact, I’d recommend “An Abundance of Katherines” to just about anyone.

On a completely different note, isn’t this picture of me and Morgan hilarious? meanddmorgan2

We were trying to take a nice picture at the Central Park Elementary School Halloween Carnival (we’ll call it CPESHC) as we worked at fun game stations. But, once I clicked the camera button, she moved, I glared, this happened. It’s truly a work of beauty, eh?

Mom’s birthday is on Sunday. Yay for birthdays! Can I get a what what?! *What What!!*

I’m now on facebook! Hoorah! You can find me on my mom’s profile, or you can just search for me :) I’d love to have you as a friend!

Whee!!!! The power’s back on! Just shows you that blogging about senseless schtuff is a great way to pass the time! Talk to you later,

     xoxo,

Amelia<3

Fall Harvest

Ah, Fall. Autumn. The season of technicolor foliage. And apples. Lots.

We have this insano-massive apple tree in our backyard that usually produces a decent crop of organic apples.

So with rakes and mad skillz, Dad and I got on the roof and gathered two bucket fulls of delicious apples.

Mom also had some luck in the gardening area with her green beans and zucchini.

But noting on this earth is better than Dad's apple pie.
I'm just sayin'.
