It was a good day. School may have been ‘meh’, but afterwards I went on a lovely walk with my BFFAFL’s Morgan and Amy

We basically just walked around the neighborhood, but we did stop at a local park to swing and get the full benefits of hand sanitizer.

We call her Morgann.

0219001638

We call her Ames.

0219001631

We call this kid Amelia. She likes that.

I hope that your evening was as enjoyable as mine!

Another Haiti Video....

As you can tell, I'm very passionate about helping Haiti. This is a video my girl scout troop made some Sunday a while back.

Enjoy!

Let’s Have a Chat.

Hello there. I’m still Amelia. And you still rock.

Yes, you. Right there. Reading this. Especially if you’ve been with us since the beginning. And by us, I mean me. It’s a one-woman show up in here. Well guess what? It’s been about two years since the start of this bloggish-type substance.

Oh right. The point.

This morning while getting ready for school, I had about five minutes to kill. I didn’t want to turn on the computer and surf around, because by the time it was on I’d have to leave. So I sat by the couch, opened up my phone and took a picture. Well, this picture: downsized_0205000700

…and I thought to myself, DANG I look different!

It’s pretty cool how doing your hair a different way, or getting little pieces of metal in and out of your mouth can make such a difference. Or maybe you wear some eyeliner, or a nice shirt.

Can’t you remember little 6th grade Amelia? She had a fro and bad teeth, but she made it. And look at her today, February 5th.

It’s been one heckuva run, guys. Thanks a million.

x,

Amelia.

Cheese.

Disclaimer: This blog post will contain some of the cheesiest jokes in the history of cheesy jokes. Ok, here we go.

1) What do you call a seagull by the bay?

A bagel!

2) How do you wake up Lady Gaga?

You P-p-p-oker face!

3) Why can’t pirates learn the alphabet?

Because they can spend years at “C”!

4) What’s black and white and black and white and black and white and black and white?

A penguin rolling down a hill!

5) What’s black and white and laughing?

The penguin that pushed him!

6) What zero say to eight?

Nice belt!

7) The pregnant heifer saw a horrible accident…

…and she had a cow!

Please forgive me.

x,

Amelia

Small can be Big.

You know what I haven’t done in a while? Blogged. I miss sitting on my bed, typing mindlessly while music by the charming Owl City plays quietly in the background. But there’s something that must be discussed.

Ok, so I’m a little late in the game. But there was a gigantic earthquake in Haiti that scored a massive 7.0 on the Richter scale. Now there isn’t much I can do to help, but I can do my part.

Ever heard the phrase “small can be big”? Well it can. The American Red Cross has raised over five million dollars using their text-donations charity. All this is, is you text “Haiti” to the number 90999. It will add $10 to your phone bill, but it goes to helping Haiti get rebuilt.

Don’t worry: It’s legit. Pinky promise.

And hey, this is just an idea. I did it because I’d want people to help us out if we were slammed with a natural disaster of this size.

Something to think about.

xo,

Amelia.

And Just Like That...

They're gone.

Yes, after a long and torturous three years, the braces have been removed. I am ELATED. I honestly said when the lady unclipped the wires "And just like that...they're gone?". I absolutely love my new smile and I can't wait to show it to the world!

...I get a retainer in a week.

BUT WHO CARES?! I don't have braces anymore! WOOOHOO! (I'd say WINKITTY but nobody would get ze reference. But that's ok. That means you aren't on the internet 24/7...that's a good thing.)
